I love 43 things.com
Full disclosure, I’m the Earth Class Mail PR guy. Just watched your clip, very cool, love what you guys are doing. I wanted to address some of your security concerns, if I may.
Firstly, we do not open mail unless at the request of the user. We scan the outside of the mail envelope and present it to them at their secure online PO box. Most of the time people know what they want to do with the mail based on viewing the envelope.
Secondly, we’ve developed strict security protocols with the help of experts in the field (the FBI, US Postal Inspector, insurance companies). If a user chooses to have us open his mail, it’s done in a secure environment by security-cleared employees, who are filmed during the process. No recording devices of any kind are allowed into this “clean room” - not even a pencil. I don’t want to blather on, so if you’re still concerned check us out here: http://www.earthclassmail.com/security
Again, thanks for talking about us, and feel free to shoot me an email if you have any questions or want more info.
